ECOLOGICAL SITES

Ecological sites are the Romains of ecosystems that deserve protection and are of great importance for maintenance of biological diversity, f. ex. mid-forest water ponds, swamps, mosses and sites of rare plant, animal and mushroom species.

9 ecological lands are located on the area of Wolsztyn Forest District. Currently three of them represent legal status:

- "Devil's Hole" - on the area of Kargowa commune, Zacisze sub-district.

- "Crane Mud"

- "The Island of Chobienickie Lake" on the area of Siedlec commune.
